Updated PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff information

The PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) is now tentatively scheduled to begin in Moraga on Sunday at 8:00pm and end either Monday evening or Tuesday.  This is substantially shorter than originally planned.  PG&E is constantly reassessing the weather forecast and other factors to determine the need for and extent of the PSPS.

The Town has no control over PG&E's decision making process regarding the declaration of a PSPS.  Town staff is working to prepare for the PSPS and provide information to residents as it is received.  As PSPS information is updated, additional Nixle advisories will be sent out.

You can check your address to ascertain it you will be affected by the PSPS by going to www.pge.com and clicking on Public Safety Power Shutoff.  Follow the instructions to enter your address and get information about whether you will be affected by the PSPS and its duration.

Please refer to the earlier Nixle advisory and ensure that you and your family are prepared for the PSPS.  This preparation also helps to ensure you are prepared for disasters and other emergencies.
