Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun and drug charges.

On October 19 at approximately 4:48 p.m. police responded to the 2900 block of West 6^th Street for a call regarding a suspicious vehicle.  Police made contact with the operator, 21-year-old Alexander Cosme, and following a brief investigation, recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, 171 grams of marijuana, $305 in currency, and drug paraphernalia.  Cosme was taken into custody without incident.

Cosme was charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
• Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
• Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
• Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
