Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a woman. The incident was reported Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at approximately 1:50 a.m., just off the 710 freeway northbound at the Rosecrans Avenue off-ramp, in Paramount.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the location, regarding a single vehicle traffic collision. When they arrived, they discovered a female adult suffering from a gunshot wound. They removed her from the vehicle and began life saving measures. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the female Hispanic victim, in her 20’s or 30’s, dead at the scene.
A handgun was located just outside the vehicle and a male was seen fleeing the scene.
The exact location of the shooting is unknown.
