DETAILS:  Ptl. K. LaForge was detailed to a motor vehicle crash  inside of the Estates at Princeton Junction. Investigation found that Priya Kothari was driving a gray Honda Civic sedan on Renfield Dr. when she struck a car that was parked on the side of the road. Kothari was determined to be DWI, processed at WWPD Headquarters, and released pending a future date in West Windsor Municipal Court.

Arrested: James L. Sinclair
                Resident of Trenton, NJ 08610
 
DETAILS: Patrol units were detailed to Wegmans for a shoplifting in progress. Upon Ptl. Hoffman’s arrival at the market, he observed James Sinclair pushing a cart full of alcoholic beverages valued at $1,727.60 out of the store without paying. When he was confronted by Ptl. Hoffman he abandoned the cart and immediately ran away. Ptl. Hoffman pursued Sinclair through the parking lot and was able to catch up to him and take him into custody. Sinclair was found to be in possession of a Hypodermic Needle and drug paraphernalia which included a Crack Pipe. Investigation determined that Sinclair had also shoplifted alcoholic beverages valued at $543.83 on 8/11/20, and again on 8/13/20 in the amount of $474.90. Sinclair was processed, charged with all three shopliftings, and released pending future dates in Mercer County Superior Court.

LOCATION OCCURRED:  Residence in The Enclave development

DETAILS:  Patrol units were detailed to a residence in The Enclave for a burglary. Ptl. Buchanan investigated and determined that a blue road bicycle had been stolen from inside the garage which had been left open. The door from the garage to the inside of the house was unlocked and the residents reported hearing a door open and close while they were showering, but did not find it suspicious at the time since other family members were out for a walk. Nothing was stolen from inside.

DETAILS:  Ptl. M. Erkoboni investigated the theft of a trailer from Carnegie Center where the following was reported: A white 2007 Pace American trailer containing almost $18,000 worth of tools was stolen overnight from the parking lot of Carnegie Center. The trailer had been parked in the same spot for over 6 weeks while the construction company was doing work inside some of the buildings.

INCIDENT:  2020-18542  Theft  &  Fraudulent Use of Credit Cards
 
DATE & TIME OCCURRED:  8/26/20  between 11:50 AM & 1:00 PM
 
LOCATION OCCURRED:  Wegmans, 240 Nassau Park Blvd
 
OFFICER:  Ptl. N. LaRocca #585                 
 
DETAILS:  Ptl. LaRocca investigated the theft of a wallet from Wegmans. It was determined that while the 91 year old victim was shopping at the Wegmans market, someone stole her wallet from her purse which she had in the top portion of her shopping cart. Her credit cards were then used to make a $504.00 purchase from Wegmans, and a $514.00 purchase from a Walmart store in another jurisdiction. The victim recalled that a younger male dressed in all black clothing, appeared to be following her around the store while she shopped.
