Overnight lane closures on Beaufort County bridges September 15 through September 23 for routine inspections

Routine inspections for several Beaufort County bridges will take place September 15 through September 23, 2020. Please see the below information from Consor Engineers LLC, the consultant for South Carolina Department of Transportation conducting these inspections.

US 278 over Mackey Creek & US 278 over Skull Creek (Hilton Head Bridges)
CONSOR Engineers LLC, a consultant to SCDOT will be performing bridge inspections on the evenings of Tuesday September 15th through Sunday September 20th. The inspections will require right lane closures between the hours of 10:00PM and 6:00AM, weather permitting. Closures will start in the Eastbound direction of travel and will switch to the Westbound direction as work progresses. 

US 21 over Beaufort River (McTeer Bridge)
CONSOR Engineers LLC, a consultant to SCDOT will be performing bridge inspections on the evenings of Tuesday September 15th through Saturday September 19th. The inspections will require right lane closures between the hours of 7:00PM and 6:00AM, weather permitting. Closures will start in the northbound direction of travel and will switch to the Southbound direction as work progresses.
 
US 21 over Battery Creek
CONSOR Engineers LLC, a consultant to SCDOT will be performing bridge inspections on the evenings of Sunday September 20th through Wednesday September 23rd. The inspections will require right lane closures between the hours of 7:00PM and 6:00AM, weather permitting. Closures will start in the Eastbound direction of travel and will switch to the Westbound direction as work progresses. 

US 278 over Broad Creek (Broad Creek Toll Bridge) 
CONSOR Engineers LLC, a consultant to SCDOT will be performing bridge inspections on the evenings of Monday September 21st through Wednesday September 23rd. The inspections will require right lane closures between the hours of 7:00PM and 6:00AM, weather permitting. Closures will start in the Eastbound direction of travel and will switch to the Westbound direction as work progresses.
