Yucca Valley - Detectives from Crimes Against Children Detail arrested Micah Inman for Willful Cruelty to a Child

DATE/TIME: August 28, 2020 2:00 pm

INCIDENT: PC 273a(a), Willful Cruelty to a Child

LOCATION: 7100 block of Murray Lane in the city of Yucca Valley

SUSPECT(S): Micah Inman, 23-year-old resident of Yucca Valley

VICTIM: Four-month-old female


SUMMARY:

On Friday, August 28, 2020, detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Specialized Investigations Division, Crimes Against Children (CAC) Detail were notified of a four-month-old victim who was admitted to the Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with a severe injury. Doctors at LLUMC determined the injury was caused by non-accidental trauma, consistent with child abuse.

Through investigation, detectives learned the victim was in the care of her biological father, Micah Inman, at the residence in Yucca Valley. At the conclusion of the investigation, detectives determined Inman caused the injury to the victim. On August 31, 2020, Inman was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for violation of PC 273a(a) Willful Cruelty to a Child, with a bail of $100,000.
