*UPDATE* LASD Homicide Assisting Bell PD with Shooting Death Investigation, 4900 blk Weik Avenue, Bell
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Homicide Bureau Investigators are assisting Bell Police Department in the continuing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a female adult that occurred on the 4900 block of Weik Avenue in the city of Bell on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at approximately 6:39 AM.
Detectives have learned that officers assigned to Bell Police Department received a call of a “gunshot victim” at the location.
Upon their arrival, officers immediately detained a male, White adult and made entry in to the location where they discovered a female, White adult suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper torso.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The male adult, who was initially detained by Bell Police Department Officers, is currently being interviewed by LASD Homicide Investigators.
The male and female victim are believed to be husband and wife.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
