Narrative:
Deputies assigned to the Camarillo Police Directed Enforcement Unit arrested Macieo Fisher and Destiny Fisher for shoplifting, possession of burglary tools and resisting / obstructing a law enforcement officer.

On 08/26/20, deputies assigned to the Camarillo Police Directed Enforcement Unit were patrolling in the area of the Outlet Malls. While in the area, they received information from a local business that a theft had just occurred, and that the suspects that committed the thefts were walking away from the area. Deputies were able to obtain a clothing description of the suspects and located them a short distance away from the business.

Based on the information obtained from the business, deputies approached the suspects and initiated a theft investigation. During the course of the investigation deputies searched a male subject identified as Macieo Fisher, and located property hidden on his person. This property was confirmed to be stolen from the business that reported the theft.  Macieo was also in possession of a device used to defeat the magnetic sensors commonly utilized by retailers to prevent thefts. In addition to the items located on Macieo, deputies reviewed security camera footage that further implicated Macieo’s involvement with criminal activity inside the business.

Based on the results of the investigation, Macieo was arrested for PC 459.5 / Shoplifting and PC 466 / Possession of Burglary Tools. The stolen property was returned to the business. At one point during the investigation a female that was traveling with Macieo, identified as Destiny Fisher, became uncooperative by refusing to follow the verbal directions of the deputies. She attempted to interfere with the investigation and was subsequently arrested for PC 148 (a) / Resisting or Obstructing a Peace Officer.

Macieo and Destiny were booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility. Maceio’s bail was set at $5000 with a court date set for 08/28/20 in Ventura County Superior Court. Destiny was released from custody with a court date set in October of 2020.
