DATE/TIME: Monday, August 17, 2020/ 5:49 pm

INCIDENT: Attempted Murder

LOCATION: 22000 Block of Sioux Road, Apple Valley

SUSPECT(S): Jacob Anderson, a 27-year-old resident of Apple Valley

VICTIM(S): 27-year-old Female

SUMMARY: On Monday, August 17, 2020, at 5:49 pm, Deputy Vallejo was dispatched to the Apple Valley station regarding a domestic violence report. The victim wanted to report she was assaulted by Jacob Anderson earlier in the day.

Anderson became extremely upset because the victim poured carrot juice down the kitchen drain, and some of it splattered on a package of chicken defrosting on the counter. Anderson grabbed the victim by her hair, punching, throwing her to the ground and choking her. During the assault, Anderson threatened to kill the victim and refused to let her leave the residence. The victim eventually convinced Anderson to let her leave and drove to the station to report the assault.
Deputy Vallejo was unable to locate Anderson, and a Ramey warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Friday, August 21, 2020, at approximately 10:27 am, deputies from the Specialized Enforcement Division (SED) served a search warrant at Anderson's residence. During the service of the warrant, Anderson was located and taken into custody without incident.

Andersen was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for Attempted Murder, False Imprisonment, Corporal Injury to a Spouse or Cohabitant, and Threatening Death or Great Bodily Injury. He is being held on $500,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Victorville Superior Court on August 25, 2020.
