Emergency Alert from Santa Clara County Planned: Warning to Be Prepared IF There is an Evacuation Order

Evacuation warnings have been issued for Santa Clara County this evening that include areas adjacent Los Altos Hills WEST of I-280 along Page Mill Road and Moody Road.

Please note this is a precaution and a warning to inform residents of these areas of the continued potential threat of thunderstorms, lightning and high winds and the potential of wildfires. This warning is a reminder to be prepared if an evacuation order is eventually issued. There are no active wildfires in Los Altos Hills and no active threats to Los Altos Hills due to regional wildfires. At this time, there are no evacuation orders in effect in any part of Los Altos Hills.

Santa Clara County Fire Department and officers from the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office are monitoring the hills west of I-280 tonight and will be spot checking the area. To plan ahead for the potential evacuations, including an evacuation route map, please visit

Please dial 911 if you see fire in your area. We understand that smoke can be heavy at times; this is due to smoke from fires outside of Los Altos Hills. Please do not call 911 due to poor air quality.
