A message from the City of Palo Alto: Smoke is moving into Palo Alto and surrounding communities from multiple large fires burning in Santa Cruz County, and a major fire burning in San Mateo County. There is no fire in Palo Alto currently.
We recommend that you call 9-1-1 if you see fire or if there is an emergency. Due to the poor air quality, residents should keep their windows closed and limit outdoor activity.
