Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the found human remains that were discovered on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at approximately 2:43 P.M. in the 20200 block of South Santa Fe Avenue, Rancho Dominguez. 
 
Detectives have learned that deputies assigned to Carson Sheriff’s Station responded to the location regarding a “found human remains” call.

Upon their arrival, deputies spoke with the informant of the call who had been working on the creek bed, when the informant found the human remains.

The identity and sex of the decedent could not be immediately determined.

Manner, cause of death and identity will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner at a later date.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
