Power outages continue for Neptune Township residents, as JCP&L reports 665 locations remain without power as of Thursday afternoon, down from over 1,100 Thursday morning. Residents without power are urged to report the outage to JCP&L if they haven't already by calling 1-888-544-4877, text OUT to 544487, and online at firstenergycorp.com. The only currently available information states that JCP&L expects 95% of customers in the state to be restored by Tuesday, August 11th. While we are hopeful that power is restored much sooner since JCP&L is currently working in Neptune, please remember that we have no control over restoration times. Updates will be shared from JCP&L as they become available.

• Free ice and water is available from JCP&L at Shoprite, located at 2200 RT 66 (off Neptune Blvd).
• If you're using a generator, make sure it's placed outside away from your home, not in a garage or shed even if windows are open.
• Cooling and phone charging stations are available at the Neptune Township Public Library, located at 25 Neptune Blvd, and the Neptune Township Municipal Marina, located at 149 South Riverside Drive. Social distancing and masks are required to enter.
• If you, a family member, or a neighbor has a medical device and remains without power, or is having issues related to an outage, please contact the NTPD at (732) 988-8000. Assistance is available from Neptune EMS and OEM.
• Several roads remain closed due to downed trees and/or wires, and are being addressed by DPW and JCP&L. Please do not drive around cones or barricades.

Please be patient, check on your neighbors, and contact emergency services if you need assistance. Remember to report any hazardous situations you may observe, such as downed wires, trees resting on wires, or any other emergent issue to 911.
