High Surf Advisory until 12:00AM Wednesday

* WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of up to 10 feet. For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents expected.

* WHERE...Coastal New Jersey and Coastal Delaware.

* WHEN...from 8 AM Tuesday to midnight EDT Tuesday night.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* AFFECTED AREAS: COASTAL OCEAN ... COASTAL ATLANTIC ... EASTERN MONMOUTH ... ATLANTIC COASTAL CAPE MAY ... DELAWARE BEACHES

Instructions:

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. Entering the surf is discouraged. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
