Pomona Police investigate shooting death of 22 year old Pomona man.

Victim: 22 year old Pomona resident (name withheld pending next of kin notification)
Location: 300 block of East Phillips Bl.
On Tuesday, July 14th at approximately 10:54 PM Pomona Police received a call of a victim of a shooting in the 300 block of E Phillips Bl. When officers arrived on scene a male was located lying in the street suffering from gunshot wounds. Fire and medical personnel were dispatched and responded to the scene. The victim was transported to the Pomona Valley Hospital in critical condition where he underwent emergency surgery as a result of his injuries. Although life saving measures were taken, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Pomona Police Homicde Detectives responded to assume the investigation. At this point, Detectives are working to discover a motive and any suspect information.
