Prowler Arrested Again
Suspect: Vashon Conway, 40-year-old male (In-custody)
On Saturday, July 11th, 2020, at approximately 4:08 PM, Redwood City Police Officers responded to the area of Hansen Way just east of Veterans Boulevard on a report of a male subject who entered the reporting party’s parked motorhome. The reporting party told police officers she had been living in her motorhome for the past month and today she heard someone attempting to open the side door screen. The reporting party stated an unknown male subject then entered the motorhome and stood in the dining area behind the driver’s seat. The reporting party feared for her safety and armed herself with a stick. The suspect finally exited the motorhome.
Responding officers located a subject matching the description provided by the reporting party in the area of 1450 Veterans Boulevard. The subject was identified as Vashon Conway, and subsequently positively identified by the reporting party as the subject who entered her motorhome.
Officers arrested and booked Conway into the San Mateo County Jail for burglary and committing a felony while on bail for a similar incident that occurred on Wednesday, July 8th, when he removed a window screen and entered an occupied apartment. Conway was also arrested on Sunday, July 5th, for annoying a child under 15 years old at Sequoia High School.
