Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the death of a female adult that occurred on the 11800 block of Aviation Blvd in the City of Hawthorne on Thursday, July 02nd 2020 at approximately 9:09 PM.
Detectives have learned that deputies assigned to South Los Angeles Station were dispatched to the location alongside personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department regarding a Fire call. Upon their arrival, they located the victim who was inside of a sleeping bag and appeared to be on fire. Fire Department personnel extinguished the fire and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is no known motive or any suspect information.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no other information available.
