If Juan Morris was looking for a store to rob and clerks to kidnap today in Clayton, he now realizes he picked the wrong county.  Morris also learned the importance of not letting the tag on his car expire while trying to elude capture out of state for 3 counts of kidnapping and armed robbery   A member of Sheriff Victor Hill’s elite COBRA Unit pulled over Morris for his tag being expired on Riverdale Rd and the tag alerted that the car was connected to a robbery/kidnapping and that Morris was the perpetrator.

On June 3, 2018 at approximately 10:47 PM, Morris entered a Food Lion Store located at 5850 W Hwy 74 Indian Trail, NC 28079. Morris pulled out a silver automatic handgun and pointed it at 2 store clerks and ordered them to the back room and to open the safe. He ordered the two victims to open the safe and put the money in a back. The third victim was walking in the front of the store when he ordered the victim to go to the back room where the other two victims were. After Morris received the money, he ordered the victims to go to a room that was beside him and he walked out the front of the store. 

Morris is now facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail better known as “The Hill-ton” waiting to be shipped back to North Carolina.
