Los Angeles County Homicide Detectives are continuing their investigation into the Shooting death of a male adult that occurred at the 600 Block of South Ward Avenue in the City of Compton, on Wednesday, June 17th, 2020 at approximately 9:11 PM.
Detectives have learned that Deputies assigned to Compton Station responded to the area regarding a call for service about a person who had been shot with a firearm . Upon their arrival, they found an unresponsive male black adult in the Driver’s seat of a White Toyota Corolla. The victim sustained gunshot wounds to the upper torso and was pronounced dead at the scene .
There is no known motive or suspect information.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information at this time.
