On April 3, 2020, Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the Tiger Express gas station, 803 Sea Island Parkway, St. Helena Island to a report of shots fired, in which one man was wounded. Deputies secured the scene for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to respond and transport the wounded man to the hospital.
