Flood Warning until 12:30AM Saturday

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Flood Warning for... Northern Ocean County in southern New Jersey... Southeastern Monmouth County in central New Jersey...

* Until 1230 AM EDT.

* At 850 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that heavy rain was still falling across portions of the area. The heavy rain was causing flooding on numerous roads and highways near the coast including Route 35, Highway 71, and Highway 33. Further inland, roads closures were also being reported between New Egypt and Six Flags. Up to four inches of rain have already fallen across portions of the area and additional rain is expected.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include... Toms River, Asbury Park, Lakewood, Jackson, Howell, Tinton Falls, Manasquan, Point Pleasant Beach, Mantoloking, Six Flags Theme Park, Belmar, Neptune, Spring Lake and Adelphia. This includes the following highways... Garden State Parkway between mile markers 85 and 108. Interstate 195 in New Jersey between mile markers 17 and 34.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MONMOUTH, NJ ... OCEAN, NJ
