Crimes Against Children Detectives arrest a suspect for rape of a minor by intoxication

INCIDENT: PC 261(a)(3) Rape of a Minor by Intoxication
LOCATION: City of Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT(S): Nicholas Shawn Stark, 28-year-old male, resident of Fontana
VICTIM(S): Confidential, 16-year-old female
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, June 2, 2020, the Fontana Police Department contacted the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and requested assistance with an investigation of historical rape of a minor, by intoxication. Detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Specialized Investigation Division, Crimes Against Children Detail, assumed the investigation. The suspect was identified as Nicholas Shawn Stark, a 28-year-old male, resident of Fontana.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Stark was arrested for PC261(a)(3) Rape of a Minor by Intoxication. Stark was employed by the Fontana Police Department as a police officer. It was determined, the crime occurred prior to Stark's employment with the Fontana Police Department.
Stark was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and bail was set at $250,00.00.
