Based upon the looting and criminal behavior that has been occurring throughout the county as well as the threats of continuing criminal activity, the Town of Moraga is instituting a curfew in the commercial areas of the Town, beginning tonight, from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am each day until further notice.  There are exceptions to the order for emergency personnel, essential workers, individuals obtaining food, seeking or providing medical care or care for family members as well as for those experiencing homelessness.  Lafayette, Orinda and Walnut Creek have also established similar curfews.  Please stay home during the curfew hours.

The Moraga Police Department is working with other area law enforcement agencies and monitoring information to keep our community safe during these challenging times.  However, we need your help.  Please remain vigilent and report any suspicious persons who you see as well as any suspicious online activity pertaining to criminal activity.  Suspicious persons should be reported by calling Dispatch at 925-284-5010.  Suspicious online activity can be e-mailed to [email protected].  For Emergencies, please call 9-1-1.
