Based on the looting and criminal behavior seen within the county, as well as information received by the City, The City of Orinda is instituting a curfew starting tonight, from 8:00 pm until 5:00 am. Exceptions to the order are travel for Individuals traveling directly to and from work; attending religious services; commercial trucking and delivery services; obtaining food; caring for a family member, friend, or animal; patronizing or operating private businesses; seeking medical care or fleeing dangerous circumstances; and travel for any of the above services.
 The Police Department is monitoring information and making preparations to keep the city safe during this challenging time. We are asking for your cooperation. Please stay home unless you need to travel for one of the authorized exceptions to the curfew order. If you see information online pertaining to potential criminal activity within the City, please obtain a screenshot and forward it to [email protected].
