The Public Health branch of the Mariposa County Health and Human Services Agency was informed yesterday May 14, 2020 of the death of one of our COVID-19 cases. The 78-year-old female was recently discharged from a valley hospital to a hospice care facility in Stanislaus County. She contracted COVID-19 from a Stanislaus County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and tested positive on May 5, 2020
COVID-19 is a known contributing factor to her death as well as other underlying heath issues.
Our deepest sympathies go out to her family. This is a reminder of the severity of this disease; please stay vigilant in reducing the spread of COVID-19.
