Crimes Against Children Detectives arrested Sean MacDonald, a registered sex offender, for possession of child porn

SUSPECT: Sean Mac Donald, 48 years old, resident of San Bernardino
SUMMARY:
Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Crimes Against Children Detail (CAC), began an investigation into cyber tips that were reported by an Electronic Service Provider (ESP). The cyber tips contained various images of child pornography. Through investigation, investigators determined the child pornography was downloaded to a home in San Bernardino.
On Tuesday, May 12, 2020, personnel from CAC, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Central Station, Sheriff’s Hi-Tech Division, San Bernardino County Probation Department and the San Bernardino Police Department served a search warrant at a residence in the 1000 block of East Baseline Street in San Bernardino. Investigators contacted Sean Mac Donald at the residence. At the the conclusion of the investigation, Sean Mac Donald was arrested for possession of child pornography. Mac Donald was subsequently booked into West Valley Detention Center and bail was set at $25,000. Mac Donald is a convicted felon and a registered sex offender in the state of California.
