News Release: Police Arrest Man for Assaulting Two Women and Indecent Exposure

Police arrested a man for assaulting two women and exposing his genitals while they were at a neighborhood soccer complex. On Sunday, May 10, 2020 at around 2:00 p.m., our 24-hour dispatch center received a report of a disturbance where two women were being harassed at the Mayfield Soccer Complex located at 2650 El Camino Real. The preliminary investigation revealed the victims, a woman in her fifties, and her mother who is in her seventies, were waiting to use the restroom when they saw an unknown male suspect on a bicycle in between the restrooms. The suspect started talking to the women and then became threatening. The suspect grabbed a few baseball size rocks and threw one at the victims. Neither one of the women were hit. The suspect then pulled down his pants and exposed his genitals while touching himself. He then entered the restroom, emerged a short time later, and left the area on his bicycle. Soon after, police located a man matching the description of the suspect at the intersection of Curtner Avenue and El Camino Real. Officers investigated and determined the suspect was responsible for assaulting the women. Police notified Santa Clara County Adult Protective Services to inform them that one of the victims was elderly and a victim of a crime. Police booked 39-year-old Fermin Anthony Aragon of Palo Alto for assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, criminal threats (all felonies) and indecent exposure (misdemeanor) into the Santa Clara County Main Jail. His booking photo is attached to this news release (note: the booking photo has been removed pursuant to AB994 as of December 2023).
