Coroner: body found yesterday near Bay Point Island identified as missing diver, 49-year-old Alan Devier. 
According to Beaufort County Coroner Edward Allen, the body recovered yesterday, May 10, 2020, near Bay Point Island was identified as 49-year-old Alan Devier, who had been reported missing while scuba diving on April 28, 2020. A forensic autopsy will be conducted on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at the Medical University of South Carolina to aid in the determination of Alan Devier's cause and manner of death.
