On 5-1-2020, at 4:52 P.M., Sheriff’s deputies assigned to the Headquarters Station took a report of a burglary that occurred in the 1000 block of Ocean Drive in the Silver Strand area. Deputies determined, Bret Manzer, unlawfully entered a residence while occupied and stole property. Manzer placed the stolen property inside his vehicle and left the area. On 5-5-2020, at about 11:45 P.M., Manzer was located with the stolen property inside of his vehicle. Manzer was arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property and possession of tear gas by a felon. Manzer was booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility and is scheduled to appear in court on May 8, 2020, at 1:30 P.M. Residents are reminded to be observant and report any suspicious vehicles or people to their local law enforcement agency. |
