INCIDENT: Attempted Murder
LOCATION: W. Needles Highway and M Street, Needles, CA.
SUSPECT(S): Andrew Weekley, 29 year old, resident of Needles, CA.
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at 11:52 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Sheriff’s station / Needles Police Department responded to the area of W. Needles Highway and M. Street for a report of a shooting. Deputies located the victim, who was suffering from two gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by ambulance to Havasu Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was identified to be Andrew Weekley. On Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at about 2:30 p.m., Weekley was located at a residence in the 200 block of Chestnut Street in Needles and taken into custody. Weekley was booked into the Colorado River Station jail for attempted murder and is being held on $1,000,000 bail pending a court hearing.
