DATE/TIME: Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at about 4:27 p.m.
INCIDENT: Negligent discharge of a firearm & Felon in possession of a firearm
LOCATION: 200 block of Walnut Street, Needles, CA.
SUSPECT(S): Bradley Underwood, 43 year old, resident of Needles
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at 4:27 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Sheriff’s Station / Needles Police Department responded to the area of Walnut Street and North L Street for a report of a man shooting a gun. Investigation revealed Bradley Underwood fired several shots from a handgun in the back yard of a residence. Underwood fled the scene before deputies arrived. Underwood was on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) for a prior conviction of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
A short time later, Deputy Wagner observed Bradley Underwood being driven in a vehicle on North L Street. A traffic stop was conducted and Underwood was taken into custody. Underwood was booked in the Colorado River Station jail for negligent discharge of a firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Underwood is being held without bail for a violation of his Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) terms.
