Full Notification

On Sunday, April 26^th, 2020 at approximately 9:30 p.m., Palmdale Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the 2100 block of E Avenue R regarding a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle.  

Responding deputies contacted the driver of the vehicle involved (blue 2015 Chrysler sedan) who was traveling westbound on Avenue R.  The victim (pedestrian, Male/Hispanic, 25) was crossing the roadway northbound on a dim lit part of the roadway.  The driver of the vehicle attempted to swerve to avoid colliding with the victim, but a collision occurred in the westbound lanes of Avenue R. 

Los Angeles County Fire responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. 

The driver of the vehicle did not appear to have any impairment prior to the collision.

Palmdale Station traffic investigators were notified and responded to investigate the traffic collision scene.

There is no further information regarding this incident.
