INCIDENT: 2020-10014 Motor Vehicle Crash w/ Injuries (Vehicle Strkes House)
DATE & TIME OCCURRED: 4/24/2020 at 0921 Hours
LOCATION OCCURRED: Edinburg Road at Intersection of Conover Road/DIckens Drive
DRIVER #1: 67 year old W/F

DRIVER #2: 35 year old W/M

OFFICER: 1) Traffic Officer McQuade #97—Lead Investigator
DETAILS: On this date at 9:21 am, Patrol and Traffic Units were detailed to Edinburg Road at Conover Road/Dickens Drive for a Motor Vehicle Crash where the following was determined: Vehicle #1, a 2012 Mercedes Benz GLK, had been had been traveling East on Conover Road and was approaching a stop sign for the intersection of Edinburg Road. Vehicle #2, a 2019 Range Rover Sport, was traveling North on Edinburg Road and was approaching the intersection of Conover Road/Dickens Drive. The Mercedes Benz did not stop at the stop sign and continued into the intersection where it collided with the Range Rover. The collision sent Range Rover off the roadway, across a sideyard where it struck a fence, then an air conditioning condensor, & ultimately a house on Dickens Drive, and it came to its final rest. The house was occuppied at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported by the occupants. Damage was minor to the dwelling itself.
Driver #1 was transported to RWJ at Hamilton Hospital by WW Division of Fire & Emergency Services with non-life threatening injuries. Driver #2 reported minor injuries and declined to be transported to a hospital. Driver #1 was issued summonses for Careless Driving and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign by Traffic Officer McQuade, the Lead Investigator of this collision.
