The Centers for Disease Control and San Benito County Department of Public Health recommend wearing face cloth coverings to slow the spread of COVID-19
The City of Hollister and The County of San Benito will each contribute $5,000 (total $10,000) towards the acquisition of brand new, locally made cloth masks to be able to distribute at no cost to disadvantaged community members. Masks for community members will be distributed to those in need by our partnering non-profits.
SBC Chamber of Commerce will purchase each handmade mask for $5.00 each.

*If the value of your mask is more than $5.00 each, you will be issued a 501c3 letter to submit with your taxes for the unpaid value of your donation.
example: if your mask value is $10.00 and we pay $5.00 per mask, you will get a tax donation certificate in the amount of $5.00 (difference). Please consult with your tax advisor regarding charitable donation deductions.
