Advisory

Online reporting is now available for certain incidents.

The Linden Police Department now offers online reporting for certain incidents.
Under the new program, residents will be able to report certain incidents by completing an online form. The forms will be reviewed during normal business hours, Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm and, once accepted, it will be assigned a case number. You may be contacted if additional information is required.
“Emergencies and reports of crimes in progress should still be reported by dialing 9-1-1, but online reporting gives residents the convenience to make reports from the comfort of their home and reduces the need for Officers to unnecessary enter a residence,"” said Police Chief Dave Hart.
The Department will accept online reports for non-emergency incidents that occur within the city if they do not involve injury and do not require an immediate Police response for the following offenses:
• Theft (up to $75,000)
• Criminal mischief
• Lost or damaged property
• Other non-emergency incidents
Victims will also be able to provide supplemental information on existing cases, such as when a lost item is found or if an additional item is missing.

Forms are available on the department website, http://linden-nj.org/Departments/police under the "File a Citizens Report" tab.
