Update #1 (Investigation – 11th and Walnut Streets):
This incident remains under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, the Office of Professional Standards and the Delaware Department of Justice.

Original message (April 12 2020):
Wilmington Police are on scene investigating a police-involved shooting that occurred at 11th and Walnut Streets.
At approximately 12:03 a.m., Wilmington Police located a suspicious vehicle that was running and parked, partially on the curb, at 11th and Walnut Streets.
Officers approached the vehicle to assess the situation, and engaged with the driver and sole occupant, a 21-year-old male. One Wilmington Police officer discharged their department-issued firearm, striking the suspect.
Officers took the suspect into custody and rendered first aid prior to the arrival of paramedics. The suspect was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
A firearm was recovered from the suspect. Charges are pending at this time.
The police officer was not injured.

The suspect in this incident has been identified as Jabri Hunter.
Hunter has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Person Prohibited
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
