Not that our days are not difficult enough. I am issuing a Toto Wind Warning of 10+. This is definitely a hold onto your little dogs alert!
There is an extremely high wind warning and possible tornado warning for the area.
I advise you of this to make sure all outside items are secure and you have everything charged and generators tested for a very good possibility of power failure.
Please do not call HQ with failures as your first text message should be to your provider. Both PSEG & JCPL have elaborate reporting systems in place by phone and by text. Now is the time to make sure you have account information and Texting info in place.
I have also activated the Nixle alert system to automatically reissue alerts from the National Weather Service when they are severe in nature. These alerts will automatically be released and will be copied onto Facebook and Twitter.
My officers and dispatchers continue to come to work every day to make sure while you are sheltering in place, you are safe and your emergency services continue. Thank you for helping them by sheltering in place and limiting your interactions by using online reporting and phone reporting.
