Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing to assist Huntington Park Police Department detectives with their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting of two Hispanic men in Huntington Park.
On Friday, April 10, 2020, at 3:47 PM, Officers from the Huntington Park Police Department responded to the 6000 block of Templeton Street regarding a shots fired/gunshot victim call.
Upon arriving, officers found two men had been struck by gunfire. One of the men, a male in his 20’s, was treated for minor injuries at the scene and released. The second man, a Hispanic male in his 40’s, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
There is no suspect description at this time, and the murder weapon remains outstanding.
This incident is being investigated as a gang related homicide.

Sheriff’s Homicide investigators are responding to the 6500 Block of Templeton Street, Huntington Park assisting Huntington Park Police Department in investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult which occurred on Friday, April 10, 2020, at approximately 3:47 P.M.
The investigation is ongoing, and there is no additional information available at this time.
