**Update**
IMPD Homicide Detectives would like to thank the community for their support in helping to locate 26-year-old Tyree Henning. Henning was arrested on April 6, 2020, and has been charged with murder. The Marion County Prosecutors Office will review the case and make a charging decision.
A charge of a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

INCIDENT TYPE: Homicide
INCIDENT LOCATION: 2080 N. Shadeland Ave.
INDIANAPOLIS – On April 4, 2020 at approximately 1:03 p.m., East District officers were dispatched to 2100 N. Shadeland Ave., on a report of shots fired. Officers arrived at 2080 N. Shadeland Ave. and located a female shot. Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS) responded to the scene and transported the female to Methodist hospital in critical condition.
Despite the best life-saving techniques, the victim, later succumbed to her injuries. The Marion County Coroner’s Office (MCCO) will be assisting and will determine the exact manner and cause of death. The MCCO will release the name of the decedent once proper next-of-kin notification has been made.
Detectives were seeking, but have located 26-year-old Tyree Henning. The detectives continue to investigate this incident.

INCIDENT TYPE: Person Shot
INCIDENT LOCATION: 2080 N. Shadeland Ave.
INDIANAPOLIS - On April 4, 2020, at approximately 1:03 p.m., East District officers were dispatched to 2100 N. Shadeland Ave., on a report of shots fired. As Officers were responding to the area, they were updated that there was a person shot on the Circle K gas station lot, 2080 N. Shadeland Ave. Officers arrived and located a female shot. Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS) responded to the scene and transported the female to Methodist hospital in critical condition.
Homicide detectives responded and immediately began canvassing the area for witnesses. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist in identifying and collecting potential forensic evidence.
Detectives are asking for the communities assistance in attempting to locate 26-year-old Tyree Henning. Detectives would like to speak to him about his role in this incident.
