The Rutherford County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) would like to thank our citizens for providing input in regards to a map showing the general locations of the positive COVID-19 cases. We are currently working with the Rutherford Health Department to create a map and we will publish it later today. The Top 3 Local Positive Efforts to Share Today from the Emergency Operations Center (EOC): • Lowe’s in Forest City has provided respirators to the EOC and are working to acquire additional PPE for us. • Thank you to our Mask Makers: Jean Scruggs who is sewing masks for Carolina Home Care, Tiffany Jones the owner of Embroider of Boutique, Tiffany Dotson, and a group of women at Florence Baptist Church. • Tom Roberson of City Computers for networking with other professionals to access 3D printers to print PPE and for collaborating with Parker Hannifin on the efforts they have already started. Each day the Rutherford County Emergency Operations Center reports to you the latest testing numbers from the Rutherford Health Department. Today’s numbers are as follows: • 243 individuals tested • 194 tests are negative • 25 tests are pending • 24 tests are positive The Community Health Council of Rutherford County has launched the website www.Rutherfordhelp.com. It provides Rutherford County citizens access to vital and timely information regarding Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). You can find access to resources, volunteer to help, find the medical screening hotline, and find all the latest news and information.
