Important Theft Prevention Tips
The City of Duarte and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department want residents to be aware that although additional patrol has been deployed into all Duarte neighborhoods; residents and businesses should remain alert and remember to bring all deliveries, packages, and mail inside as soon as possible.
Due to safer at home orders, the number of online purchases and delivered items has significantly increased. More packages being delivered means a greater opportunity for theft. In order to prevent theft, we encourage all residents and businesses to bring packages and mail inside as soon as possible. If you know you are not going to be home when your package is expected please redirect the package to safe location where someone can receive it on your behalf.
As always, we encourage our residents to report suspicious activity and people. If you "see something, say something." To report a non-emergent crime please visit LASD Online Reporting System or call Temple Sheriff’s Station Dispatch at (626) 448-9861.
