Advisory

Cloth Face Coverings and PPE Donations. Click link for message.

The CDC now recommends wearing cloth face coverings when leaving your home for essential needs to slow the spread of COVID-19. (Please consider the severe shortage of personal protective equipment and do not use surgical masks or N95 respirators as they should be preserved for health care professionals/first responders.) Wearing a cloth face covering could help keep you from infecting others—early research shows that individuals who are infected, but haven’t yet displayed symptoms, can still spread the virus. For more information on face coverings, visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover.html.

Asbury Park Police, Fire and EMS are still seeking donations of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), specifically surgical and dust masks. Anyone willing to donate equipment, including surgical and dust masks for patients being transported, is asked to please email [email protected].

Please remember, Governor Murphy’s Stay at Home Order is still in effect. Continue to practice safe social distancing by staying at least 6 feet away from others. Residents may still leave their homes to head to the grocery store, seek medical care, visit close family or someone you have a close personal relationship with, such as a romantic partner, report to work, or go outside for exercise. Wearing a cloth face covering should not replace staying at home.
