On April 4, at 7:42 p.m., deputies from the Wasco Substation were dispatched to the report of the sound of multiple gunshots on the 1800 block of Gaston Street. When they arrived, they located a 20-year-old man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital by air ambulance. The victim was pronounced deceased at 9:00 p.m. at the hospital.
The initial investigation indicates a vehicle drove by, and several people inside shot at the victim. No suspects have been arrested. Homicide detectives assumed the investigation.
