April 3, 2020 Knowlton Township Coronavirus Update

Warren County now has 165 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Four of those are in Knowlton Township. 

 The county is very close to announcing the opening of a Covid-19 testing site. There will be a very straightforward procedure, which will be outlined soon. As soon as the Township receives this information, it will be shared via Nixle. The site is expected to open sometime next week. 

The current statistics for Covid-19 patients in Warren County are as follows:

On the local level:
The Red Cross has evaluated several Warren County towns and selected Blairstown as the nearest location for an upcoming blood drive.  Details will be forthcoming soon.  

The Red Cross is seeking people who are fully recovered from COVID-19 and may be able to donate plasma to help current patients with serious or immediately life-threatening COVID-19 infections.  Anyone interested should visit the Red Cross website at: https://www.redcrossblood.org/donate-blood/dlp/plasma-donations-from-recovered-covid-19-patients.html

From the State:  Yesterday Governor Murphy signed Executive Order 113 authorizing the state’s Office of Emergency Management to commandeer personal services and / or real or personal property. This includes medical supplies and equipment from private companies and institutions in order to help meet the continued need for ventilators and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in NJ hospitals, health care facilities, and emergency response agencies due to COVID-19.  Executive Order 113 can be found on the Knowlton Township website.
