On 03-19-20, Deputies from the Walnut Sheriff’s Station contacted the minor victim regarding his former little league vice-president (Suspect Carlton Harris 47) who had sexually assaulted him. The victim states that while he was in the Puente Hills – Rowland Heights Little League, his family became close with the suspect and his family. During visits to the suspect’s home, the victim states the suspect would sexually assault him. This sexual abuse continued for approximately one year. During the course of this investigation, Special Victims Bureau detectives located two other male juveniles who reported similar behavior by the suspect.
On 03-30-20, the suspect was arrested and on 04-02-20, the District Attorney’s Office filed one count of Lewd Acts on a Child Under 14yrs old, 288(a) PC, one count of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Minor, 288.5(a) PC and five counts of Lewd acts on a child 14 or 15yrs old, 288(c)(1) PC, with a bail amount of $530,000.00. His next court date at Pomona Court is unknown at this time.
