Sheriff's Office investigating shooting outside of gas station, St. Helena. One man wounded. Subject left scene. 
Late today, Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of an adult male gunshot victim outside of the Tiger Express, Sea Island Parkway, St. Helena Island. The victim was transported to the Beaufort Memorial Hospital by emergency medical services for treatment. Deputies learned that prior to their arrival, the unknown male subject—believed responsible for the shooting—left the area in a vehicle.
The scene is secure and there is no public safety threat. Residents and motorists in the area of Tiger Express can expect an increased law enforcement presence over the next several hours.
