Spring Fire Hydrant flushing schedule 
Beginning Monday, April 6, 2020 the Township of Barnegat Water Department will be conducting the Spring Fire Hydrant Flushing Program. This procedure is necessary to ensure water quality, remove sediment build-up from water mains and check fire hydrants for proper operation.
The flushing will begin west of the Garden State Parkway and continue east of the Garden State Parkway. The approximate time period for all hydrants to be flushed will be April 6, 2020 through May 8, 2020
During this period, a temporary discoloration and loss of water pressure may be noticed. Do not be alarmed. The water should clear up by allowing your tap to run for a short period of time.
