The San Benito County Order is similar to the updated orders of many bay area counties. The Order based on an adopted criteria, will stop most construction projects in San Benito County. Some projects will be allowed to proceed based on those same criteria.
The projects that qualify to proceed based on the outlined criteria in the order will be required to include:
- Special conditions to safeguard workers at the site.
- Social Distancing Protocol embedded in the Order which must be signed and accepted by the builder.
- A stringent Employee Safety Plan, which must be submitted to the San Benito County Health Officer for approval.
The County of San Benito does not have jurisdiction over school construction, however it has been deemed as essential.
San Benito County would like to thank the City of Hollister, City of San Juan Bautista and the construction industry for committing to work together for the overall safety of our community.
