Please refrain from burning yard waste. We understand it's getting nice out and yard work is getting done, but it's against city ordinance to burn yard waste, at this time. The only burning allowed would be limited to small wood fires in a regulation sized pit. We've had several complaints today.
Additional options for yard waste removal are being discussed within the City of McHenry to better address disposal of yard waste. The new idea changes are headed to City Council for discussion. We hope this will make yard waste disposal easier AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
