Fourteen South Bound Brook Resident Tests Positive for COVID-19
South Bound Brook, NJ – The Borough of South Bound Brook is notifying residents of one new positive cases of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in the Borough which brings the total to fourteen (14).   “We are currently working with Middlebrook Health Commission and with the Somerset County Department of Health and monitoring the situation”, said South Bound Brook Mayor Chris Shoffner. “We strongly urge residents to practice ‘social distancing’ by keeping 6 feet away from others and heed the CDC prevention measure of washing your hands often in an effort to prevent community spread. All age groups are being affected and no one is immune”

Individuals can lower their risk of contracting coronavirus disease by taking the same action that are recommended to prevent the spread of the flu and other respiratory illness:
• Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
• Avoid touching your face, especially your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick
• Stay home when you are sick
